Chad started his career with a team that, during his tenure, was twice honored as a Top 10 Denver real estate team by the Denver Metro Association of REALTORS® (DMAR). He was twice nominated by 5280 Magazine as a rising star in the Denver real estate market. In late 2016, Chad left the team to pursue his own real estate goals. He joined a small boutique firm as the Director of Talent Development and helped them grow from five agents to 27 during his one-year tenure. He then accepted a job as Director of Compliance with another growing company, and he quickly realized that he loves managing people and teaching other associates about Denver real estate. So, in May 2018, Chad started his own real estate corporation, and then he was elated to bring his wealth of experience with him to Compass in 2020 as the Principal Broker & Team Lead of The Stairway Team. He feels humbled and grateful to be surrounded by so many high-achieving professionals and wonderful humans in the Compass family.

Chad is a proud husband to Dr. Natalie Held, who specializes in Pulmonology and Critical Care at UC Health. Natalie and Chad are the proud and doting parents to a 3 year old Bernese Mountain Dog, Lloyd Christmas Thurman. Chad loves food, and cooking is one of his favorite activities. He is a Type I Diabetic. World travel is one of his greatest passions, and he's completed multi-day treks in Peru, Chile, Colombia, Italy, Albania, Montenegro, Kosovo & Jordan. He's visited more than 30 countries on five continents, and he cannot wait to keep exploring! To Chad, the world is an endlessly fascinating and beautiful place. Golfing, reading, and chess keep his brain sharp. He believes that laughter is the best medicine; live music is awesome; and, a good hug is the best.
